My name is Ria Iyer. I'm a Game Design and Computer Science double major finishing up my senior year of college, and I'm passionate about games, design, and building things people actually want to use.

This portfolio started as a high school assignment to showcase what I'd learned in a four-year graphic design program. I've since used it to track my work through college, moving from graphic design into game design and, most recently, into UI/UX and product work.

I like bringing a real point of view into my work — every project here was made with a specific purpose behind it. I hope you enjoy looking around, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Current Focus

What's on the workbench right now.

Product & UX Design

Redesigning real, frustrating systems — like UCSC's student health portal — into something people would actually want to use.

HCI Research

Studying how people actually use the tools built for them, and prototyping fixes — like Class Helper and the Learning Portal.

Game Design

Prototyping in Phaser, Godot, and LÖVE2D — from arcade mechanics to full puzzle and runner builds, solo and with teams.
